We think the political science minor is well suited to any student with an interest in
politics or the history of ideas. Students majoring in a more job-oriented major will
especially benefit from a minor such as ours. The political science minor consists of 18 hours distributed as follows:.
6 hours from the following list of 100 level courses:
POSC 110 Introduction to Politics
POSC 120 American Government
POSC 130 Comparative Government
POSC 140 International Relations
POSC 290 Seminar in Political Science and 9 additional hours of POSC classes, 6 of which must be 300 or 400 level
For political science minors graduating under the 2003-2004 (and all future) catalogs, POSC 290 will be a formal pre-requisite for all
upper-level classes.
